Storyline

A young boy learns that he has extraordinary powers and is not of this Earth. As a young man, he journeys to discover where he came from and what he was sent here to do. But the hero in him must emerge if he is to save the world from annihilation and become the symbol of hope for all mankind.

Review

Over 7 years after the last Superman Movie - 'Superman Returns", he's back as the Man of Steel. For comic book fans, this has been a long awaited return and was it worth the wait? We'll let you decide. The Last superman movies supposedly racked in $400 million at the Box office and Warner Bros and Legendary Pictures, makers of the movie were a bit disappointed. They were expected at least $500 million, but in all it was a successful movie. This and other issues regarding commitments of the movies Directors, Producers and cast caused a proposed 2009 sequel to stay under wraps. A fresh storyline and cast were put together for the new movie and with almost $250 million in 3 weeks at the Box office, will it perform better than it's predecessor? Let's wait and see.

We definitely loved the action ( there was a lot) and the general special effects of the movie, to me the action beats those in the Batman movies hand down. I don't remember how Clark Kent and Louise Lane met in the comic series, but the meeting this time around wouldn't have been the way I would have written it. But that's just me, i guess it was wasn't a bad way to make an entrance in the 21st Century. I didn't love the way Clark, watched his earthly father die, just because he didn't want to reveal his identity. He could have used super speed or something, but the story tells us that he didn't fully know his capabilities by then. He didn't know he could fly and all at the time. In all it was a good movie, i would watch it at least 2 more times. But let's know what you think....... If you have't seen this, you should.

Henry Cavill, Amy Adams and the whole cast did a good job.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012)

A younger and more reluctant Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, sets out on a "unexpected journey" to the Lonely Mountain with a spirited group of Dwarves to reclaim a their stolen mountain home from a dragon named Smaug.


My Thots
If you are a fan of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, then this prequel won't disappoint you. Going by Movie's Box Office performance so far, fans seems to have received it very well. After seeing the movie on the Big Screen, I really want to go watch it again.

Wow!!!! You won't be disappointed by the action, the valor and the adventure in this movies. The movies centers around young Bilbo Baggins (Frodo Baggins' Uncle) and a quest that he sets on with Gandalf, the Wizard and a Band of Dwarfs who have a very important mission.

Although Bilbo was a rather reluctant member of the group, he discovers his courage, steals the Ring of Power from Gollum, discovers Rivendell, Home of the Elves in Middle Earth.
They battle Orcs, Goblins and other monsters on their quest to find the home of the Dwarfs. Only the Men were missing from this first installment of an Unexpected Journey. If you haven't seem this movie, i suggest you go do so before the next installment  is released. I'm definitely going to catch this one again.

The Hangover 2

Stu is getting married again. Along with his buddies Doug, Phil, and his soon-to-be brother-in-law Teddy, he regretfully invites Alan to Thailand for the wedding. After a quiet night on the beach with a beer and toasting marshmallows by the camp fire, Stu, Alan and Phil wake up in a seedy apartment in Bangkok. Doug is back at the resort, but Teddy is missing, there's a monkey with a severed finger, Alan's head is shaved, Stu has a tattoo on his face, and they can't remember any of it. The wolf-pack retrace their steps through strip clubs, tattoo parlors and cocaine-dealing monkeys on the streets of Bangkok as they try and find Teddy before the wedding.

The Scoop
"The Wolf Pack" is back and this time they had a Pup that they lost. This time the pack take the craziness to Thailand at Stu's wedding to a girl whose Dad despises him. Guess what? they bring Alan along, so you are sure that there's gonna be some unpredictable stuff going on. But Seriously!!!!how HIGH can you get that you completely loss yourself for a whole night? These guys really brought it again in this movie and Judging by the movie's performance at the Box Office, we are looking at 1 of the Highest grossing Comedies of the Year.

Harry Porter and the Deathly Hallow

Storyline
The final chapter begins as Harry, Ron, and Hermione continue their quest of finding and destroying the Dark Lord's three remaining Horcruxes, the magical items responsible for his immortality. But as the mystical Deathly Hallows are uncovered, and Voldemort finds out about their mission, the biggest battle begins and life as they know it will never be the same again.

My THOTS
After 10 years of one of the Best, Most successful, action packed and addictive movie franchises. We can say nothing more thank you to J.K. Rowlings for giving us this wonderful experience on the HOGWART Express. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2’ had a record-breaking opening weekend earning $168.6 million. The movie is on the track to become the first in its franchise to pass the $1 billion milestone in only two weeks after its theatrical release. The last film in the "Harry Potter" saga was given an enthusiastic farewell from its fans worldwide and will pass the mark this Saturday, July 30. The movie has received an A ratings from most critics and I'm sure most of us would agree with this. The last Harry Porter movie has definitely lived up to, if not surpassed expectations. We would definitely missed the Hogwarts gang and look forward to seeing them in other movies.

Captain America

Storyline

My Thots
Some of you may not have seen this movie yet, but for childhood comic book enthusiasts like me? Well you just might wanna see this one. Some critics have said that Captain America wasn't ever one of the most interesting comics books,well that would depend on who's talking or who read the comics. That aside,I'm sure original captain comics are currently a collector item, worth a few bucks in the right place.

Really, the movie wasn't bad and i would agree with a C+ rating (My Opinion, i'm entitled to one). The CGI transformation of Chris Evans into a really skinny guy, was really cool. But I bet if it were Christian Bale(Batman)in this role he would have ACTUALLY lost the weight just for the movie. In all it was a good movie and the cast for THE AVENGERS movie is almost complete. The Avengers movie already seems to be in the works. Stay tuned for more details...

My THOTS
I have watched 4 Seasons of this show and frankly its really out of the ordinary.
I can hardly find any of my friends who watches this show (My Friends, you know yourselves). I started watching after the Show got several Nominations at last years Emmy awards. This time around they got 19 Emmy nominations!!!!!! For any real TV enthusiast, isn't that ENOUGH reason for try and find out what the show is about???? I started picking the Series I watched based on the nominations for awards. Emmy, Golden Globe (GG) are the best places to start searching for decent stuff. There are so many WACK TV series out there, how do you know which to follow??? These Emmy and GG guys should know what they are doing right??

Well i just hope i can find more people outside my household that watch good TV. If you aren't one of them, you better get with the program. You can get Seasons 1-4 on DVD. If or when you start watching MadMen, try to power through the 1st couple of Episodes.WHY??????? The show is set in the 1960's so you have to adjust your frame of mind. It's not 24, Grey's Anatomy,True Blood,Prison Break or what Series do you guys what these days anyway?? its more of a real reflection of how things were in 1960's New York. Try it, once you get the storyline, i'm sure many of you will love it.

MY THOTS
Wow!!!!! Great movie, you have got to see this one on the Big SCREEN!!!! Even at the cinema, the screen could barely contain some of the action/fight scenes. Shia Labeouf, Tyrese, Josh Duhamel and the rest of the cast did a great job. Some Critics were hard on Shia's new Love Interest "Rosie Huntington-Whiteley". Lovely girl, but i guess the transition from a Grease monkey type character in Meagan Fox, to this Super Model with all the clothes and the cars attached was a hard shift to make for some critics. Me???? I loved it. My wife said Rosie ran in heels when the main action and destruction was going on, I would have to watch it again to confirm. I was blown away by the magnitude of the action, missed out on what type of shoes she was wearing.

For YOU REAL movie watchers who have seen this movie, i would love to hear from you.PLEASE POST YOUR COMMENTS HERE!!! AND you BB Fanatics who spend your time and MONEY at the movies Chatting,Pinging or doing whatever you do on those phones, i doubt if you can say much here. CAN YOU IMAGINE, someone giving someone else the whole low down on the movie from the Theater via BB, while the movie was showing. Peeps can be COMPLETELY BUNKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
